Story of Hope & COVID-19 Recovery

A story of hope and recovery from COVID-19. When James arrived at Riverside to begin his short-term rehabilitation, he had already been hospitalized for five weeks and spent 28 days on a ventilator. Riverside Health and Rehabilitation Center Designated as an Alternative COVID-19 Recovery Facility

Riverside Health and Rehabilitation Center will be creating a designated alternative recovery unit to assist in treating and caring for COVID-19 positive patients. The center is scheduled to begin admitting patients on Tuesday, May 5, 2020. In cooperation with the State of Connecticut and Department of Health, the center has been designated an Alternative COVID Recovery Facility to serve COVID-19 positive patients who are being released from the hospital but require continued medical care and support. As an Alternative COVID Recovery Facility, the center will have access to higher levels of care and services in order to treat residents with increased needs.
